My Story

My passion for health and wellness promotion led me to study medical health sciences and public health which helped me land a solid corporate job right after graduate school.

Things were going great.

I was helping customers daily improve their health and I was climbing the corporate ladder until like many… the pandemic changed everything.

I went from thinking that working from home was going to be amazing with all this extra time and freedom, but things quickly changed due to the social isolation, political turmoil, and racial tension in the US.

I began to lose sight of my passion and purpose to help others as I started to be more socially withdrawn and anxious over things I couldn’t control.

I was becoming more sedentary, smoking tons of cannabis to shut off the world, losing that work/life balance, and hating the world around me.

Then my physical struggles came in when I caught covid and wasn’t getting better after 3 months.

My taste and smell were gone so I wasn’t eating enough and not getting enough fuel.

I tried to workout but my body wouldn’t let me do anything, leading to more frustration and arguing with loved ones over the smallest inconveniences.

I can remember after a long day of dealing with upset customers, my then fiancé asked me to do something simple like take out the trash.

I told her to leave me alone, I didn’t want to be bothered, and threw a Hydro flask against the wall.

I was hating who I was becoming and had to admit that I couldn’t do this alone.

I had to take a step back by asking for help and getting support through therapy.

Therapy helped me realize that it’s okay to not be okay from time to time and that this was going to have to be an inside job before I could start working on the outside and help others.

First I had to reevaluate and strengthen my mindset, then find mindful ways to move my body that weren’t too strenuous.

Then reevaluated my nutrition habits and how it can play a role with inflammation and healing.

Then look into ways that I can recover better through yoga and sleep.

As I was getting back on track, things weren’t always sunshine and roses.

I had inconsistencies and went through three car accidents in a span of three months limiting my road to recovery.

These accidents left me broken, in pain, and anxiety thinking will I ever get out of this pain and hopelessness.

I had TWO choices - sit in my pain and despair or work on switching my mindset from why is this happening TO me vs why is this happening FOR me.

This is where I decided to trust God for putting me through this pain, trust the process of healing and taking things a day at a time to come out on the other end a better version of myself.

Now I am in less pain; feeling stronger mentally and physically; and have worked on filling my cup so I can help others. Struggles and challenges will come up in life.

Going through these struggles helped me look at life through a different lens and I came out on the other end wanting to help others struggling wherever they are in their health and wellness journey.

So now I designed a 1-1 coaching program where I help others with their mindset, movement, recovery, and sleep so they can live their best lives, realize their full potential, and spread this positivity to others in the world.
